Important Note: As of the 29th June onwards, the Hamilton Film Society will be screening at 8:00pm on a Monday night. The highlight of this year's programme
is Landscape of Dreams, a series of films by acclaimed Polish filmmaker
Lech Majewski, who is also a poet, painter and theatre director, now
working internationally. Majewski’s films are visually astounding,
dream-like narratives informed by his Central European background and
deep knowledge of art history. Lech Majewski will be visiting New Zealand in March and will be present at selected Film Society screenings of his films. Mr Majewski's visit is made possible by the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Canterbury, where he will be in residence as a Canterbury Fellow. If you would like to go on the mailing list to receive emails and our printed 2009 brochure (out mid February), please email your name and postal address to:info@hamiltonfilmsociety.org Contractual requirements mean most HFS screenings are Members Only. We have non-commercial screening rights for most films, which means no ticket sales. It's easy to join and great value, too. Contact Hamilton Film Society Film
